I had both surgeries within 5 months from each other. Not an easy task I hear. Dr. Acevedo has home rehab app as well I followed to recover. Excellent physician. I’ve known Dr Acevedo for 10 plus years and he has been one of the best if not BEST orthopedic shoulder surgeon. He is the only person I trust to do surgery for family. I took my relative to several orthopedic surgeons who stated that my family member was not a candidate for surgery. Dr. Acevedo is truly one of a kind. I had my labrum in my shoulder torn with a dent in the bone, and he made me feel like it was completely normal and a piece of cake to operate on. We had some trouble with insurance on operation day, but Dr. Acevedo stuck by for the couple hours that the surgery was delayed and continued as planned. Post-op was a breeze due to his clinically precise work on my shoulder and experience shining through, and I was pain free for a great majority of my rehab. He even has an app for rehab if that’s your style which has some good exercises to get u back in shape. Also, he’s extremely personable and knowledgeable to the point where you can definitely tell you’re in safe hands by the way he explains MRI’s and X-rays as well as pictures taken from the arthroscope. All in all, I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon to handle my shoulder dislocation and I can’t thank him enough. 6 months in and I’m cleared to do just about everything now, and for the next 6 months I’m going to keep rehabbing and make sure my shoulder is 200% healthy.
